ACADEMIC BRANCH:- The Academic Branch of the Open Board of Secondary Education, Manipur (OBSEM) is responsible for planning, developing, and monitoring all academic activities of the Board. This includes the design and periodic review of curriculum, syllabus, and textbooks, along with organizing teacher training programmes and preparing the academic calendar at the beginning of each academic year.

The branch works in alignment with national educational guidelines to strengthen open and distance learning at the Secondary and Senior Secondary levels. Through systematic academic planning and quality assurance mechanisms, OBSEM ensures that its programmes meet evolving educational needs and provide learners with recognized and meaningful academic qualifications.
